John Anderholt’s practice focuses on all aspects of real estate law; land use; entity formation; corporate governance issues; mergers & acquisitions; asset protection, including wills and trusts; and general business law.
As a Coachella Valley native, John returned to the Desert after graduating from the University of San Francisco School of Law. He began his legal career as an associate at Anderholt & Turner, LLP in 1999 and became a partner in 2003.
John represents a wide range of business and individual clients throughout the Coachella Valley and beyond in both transactional and litigation matters.
From 2003 until 2012, John served as general counsel to one of the nation’s most successful nutraceutical companies, where he advised the board on all matters of corporate governance; financing; representing the company before taxing authorities and other governmental regulatory agencies; negotiating and preparing complex leases, licensing and co-packing agreements, supply and joint venture agreements; and managing, coordinating and overseeing all corporate litigation, including complex securities litigation, trademark infringement lawsuits and class-actions.
John is also a licensed Real Estate Broker.
John lives in La Quinta with his wife and two sons and is the President of the Board of Directors of the Palm Desert Charter Middle School Foundation.
